home tournament poker
Tournament poker is structured much differently. For starters, the buy-in is set in advance. Instead of players showing up with as much money as they care to gamble, they show up with a set amount if they want to buy into the tournament. If the buy-in is $50, then each player needs to submit to the host exactly $50 if they want to play in the tournament. It’s not flexible, it’s the ticket amount for each player that wants in.
For your buy-in, you receive a set amount of poker chips. It’s the same set amount that each other player in the tournament receives. The game is played, and when a player runs out of chips, he is out of the tournament. The other participants continue to play. Obviously, the number of players who remain in the tournament decreases as the tournament progresses. What started out as a tournament of 15 players, for example, dwindles down to eventually two players. Those are the last two survivors in the game and have all of the tournament’s chips split between the two of them. They will continue to play until one of them holds all of the tournaments chips…the other player is the runner-up.
You will need alot of chips or poker chip sets to make a great home tounament.
You should always follow strict poker rules and regulations when hosting a home tournament you never know what’s going to happen so be preparred for anything and everything ,and remember have fun.
