How to Make Your Own Ferret Toys

Ferrets love play time! They are basically awfully fun and straightforward to please. When playing with your ferrets, it is unavoidable that you’re going to need props or toys. Though you can purchase toys from the store, you can also make some of your own! Here are one or two tips on how to make handmade toys.

have you got old film canisters at home? Fill it up with rice or sand ( just ensure you completely clean the canister ) and make your pet find it. When they place it in their secret spot or favourite hiding place, transfer it to another spot. You can put ferret treats within also.

Ferrets love playing in tunnels! Get 2 boxes, ensure they’re large enough for your pet to crawl in. Connect the boxes using tubes. PVC pipes will work just great. You may use drier hoses or water bottles as tunnels. Have your ferret go in the box and have a great time.

Another good idea with boxes is to create several’stations’ for your pet. You can do this by connecting one or two boxes with tubes and filling the boxes up with different materials. You can use balls, dust or toys. Some boxes might be empty and will serve as tunnels. Your pet will certainly have a good time running and digging in the homemade play pen.

have you got a long piece of PVC pipe or a smooth plastic tube? Make a ferret slide then. You can place your pet on one end and then tilt the other side up so the ferret slides down. Simply do not do it too fast, your ferret might get hurt.

Ferrets love digging through anything! Help satisfy this natural craving by making toys that they can dig thru. Get a grow bag ( peat ) or fill up a bag with sand. Cut a hole on top of the sack, place your ferret and watch them dig and have fun.

Have your pets play in a wind blown tent! Have a tiny fan and place it in a table. Ensure it is out of your ferret’s reach to avoid accidents. Tie a giant blanket over the fan and table, imitating a tent. Place heavy books on the corner to make it secure. Switch on the fan and let your ferrets have some fun in their wind blown tent.

Your pet ferret, particularly if you’ve got a kit will enjoy on this next toy. Braid cotton firmly or have nylon rope dog toys which are of medium sized be bitten by your pets. By doing this, your ferret is enjoying and having its teeth cleaned at the same time.

Tie toys or anything that you suspect will catch your pet’s attention and tie it on a long piece of rope or a string. Run round the house and watch your ferret chase you. Your ferret will not only enjoy, you are also getting useful exercise.
