A Quick Review of Sony’s Newest Camcorders
The Sony HDR-XR200V, produced in early 2009, is a 120GB, 1/5-inch 2.3-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor gadget that sports a 15x zoom lens with a handful of enhancements like GPS for geotagging and an optical stabilizer for better compensation for video taking whilst walking, abilities usually found on its higher end siblings, the Sony HDR-XR500V and the Sony HDR-XR520V and most of all, a smaller size.
Also revealed in the early part of 2009, the Sony HDR-XR500 series offers two hard disk based AVCHD cameras, the Sony HDR-XR500V and the Sony HDR-XR520V. These two camcorders sport cutting edge abilities like built-in GPS and the new|all-new|brand new|new-fangled|novel|cutting edge|avantgarde|breakthrough|progressive|radical|state of the art|unconventional} Exmor-R back-illuminated CMOS sensor. It too gives an enhanced SteadyShot image stabilization system and a solid feature set.
The Sony HDR-XR500V presents a 120GB drive while the Sony HDR-XR520V serves up a 240GB drive. In spite that having a full set of features, these cameras are readied with a pretty big price tag. For the amount of money you would be paying, folks would expect to have alot more prosumer traits and not just a full set of consumer traits.
